Don't forget that you can track the progressive pots by using the link to the left that says "MCT Progressive." The south pot is on Tuesday at The Bowery for $200, while the north pot is on Wednesday at El Nibble Nook for $50.

A few schedule notes:
CJ's of Plymouth will not be hosting their show this week due to the Michigan High School Hockey Playoffs.
Sean O'Callaghan's of Plymouth will not be hosting their show this Sunday due to their week long St. Patrick's Day celebration.
Doc's has moved both of their shows back 30 minutes. Sundays are now at 9:30pm and Mondays are at 8:30pm.
Hermann's has added a second night - Thursdays at 8pm, starting on 4/1/10.
TGI Friday's in Auburn Hills (on the OU campus) is set to start on Wednesdays at 7pm, starting on 3/31/10.

Presidente Margaritas - you know them, you love them...MCT is excited to announce our newest venue at Chili's in Southgate. Late night happy hour takes place during our shows there. The fun kicks off on Wednesday, March 17th at 8:30pm. See you there!3/7/103/6/10

We are excited to announce a few new shows for our loyal MCT players to play at. We'll have their venue pages up this weekend, but thought we'd break the news today.
El Nibble Nook of West Bloomfield will begin hosting MCT every Wednesday at 7pm, starting on 3/10/10. You are wasting your time and efforts if you don't try their guacamole and/or the Tijuana Bypass!
TGI Friday's of Novi will begin hosting MCT every Sunday at 8pm, starting on 3/14/10. They have a great, wide-open bar that will provide the perfect atmosphere for MCT.
Ernie's of Clinton Township will begin hosting MCT every Wednesday at 9pm, beginning on 3/24/10. With a huge outdoor patio (Yay Spring!), an awesome menu and great specials daily, this will soon be an MCT hot spot. They are just steps away from MCC, so all you students can swing by after classes.

We are happy to welcome the Bowery of Canton to the group of venues who host MotorCity Trivia. The Bowery consistently has great food and drinks. They are right off of I-275, so those players looking for a second venue, this is a great choice. They begin hosting their show on Tuesdays at 8pm starting on March 9th.
Also, you can stay up-to-date on the latest news with the MCT Progressive game by using the new link on the left. Both pots were NOT won this week, so they have increased.

Due to the poor weather outside, Memphis Smoke of Royal Oak has canceled their show for tonight. Stay tuned for any other cancelations.

North Pot - $50
Each week we will announce two venues that will be running the MCT Progressive game. The team with the highest combined score between both games will be invited up to the table (5 players max can come up). You will be asked one question and will have one minute to answer. If you get it right, you win the pot. If you get it wrong, we add $50 to the next week's pot. Winners will be paid at the same show the following week.

Player Appreciation Week
With Season 3 still one week away (Season 3 for $3k), we wanted to take an opportunity to show a little appreciation to all of our loyal MCT players. During this week, we have several cool things going on....
1) Want to preview the Season 3 format? As many of you know, we tweak the format a bit each season to keep things fresh and exciting. This week, you can play the new format at the following locations:
Monday - CJ's Brewing Company in Commerce Township
Tuesday - Bennigan's in Plymouth
Wednesday - George Murphy's in Livonia
Thursday - Champp's in West Bloomfield
Friday - Buffalo Wild Wings in Ypsilanti
Sunday - TGI Friday's of Brighton and Troy
2) We think this might become a bit crazy, but are ready to give it a go. Starting this week, we are proud to introduce the MCT Progressive Game. Each week, there will be two separate traveling progressive games. The team with the highest combined scores, will be invited up to the MC table to answer one final question (and it will be tough). That team can send up to five players up to the table and will have one minute to try and answer the question. If that team answers the question correctly, they receive $50.00. If they do not get it correct, the $50.00 is added to the next week's pot, making that pot $100.00...so on and so forth. The pots will continue to grow until a team answers the MCT Progressive question correctly. We will essentially have a north and south (for lack of creativity) pot running at the same time. We kick things off this week with the MCT Progressive at:
North Pot: Bo's Smokehouse in Pontiac on Thursday
South Pot: Ashley's in Ann Arbor on Monday
3) As many of you know, we usually include one free appetizer coupon at the end of each newsletter....this week, you will find four venue options on that...one for each weekday. Our newsletter subscribers can enjoy an appetizer on us at Memphis Smoke, Malarkey's Southgate, Full Moon and/or CJ's in Plymouth.
4) This week only, we are running a "Perfect Score Challenge." Any team scoring a perfect game before the final question will get a nice head start on Season 3. If you get a perfect score, you can add ten points to the venue of your choice in the week one standings for Season 3.

Let's start with a day/time change. Buffalo Wild Wings of Ypsilanti will be moving to Fridays at 9pm starting on 2/19. There will be no show there this weekend (other than the semi's).
We are also proud to welcome Buffalo Wild Wings of Howell to the MotorCity Trivia family. They will host a Thursday night show at 9pm, starting on 2/18. We've been to this "B-Dubs" several times casually and this one will be a great place for trivia!

Due to the winter storm warning we are experiencing, TGIF Ann Arbor, Ashley's Westland, Malarkey's and Friday's Troy have canceled their show tonight. Stay tuned for more updates.

Weekend schedule changes for UFC and Super Bowl...No shows at BWW Ypsi on Saturday and no regular shows on Sunday.
However, don't forget about BWW Ypsi's special sports themed show on Sunday before the game from 2pm-4pm. See you there!

We're excited to tell you about two great new venues that you can play MotorCity Trivia at, along with a second night at one of our popular places...
CJ's Brewing Company of Commerce Township will begin hosting MCT every Monday at 8pm. The first thing you should do when you get there is sign up for the Mugger Club. There are several great benefits of doing so. This show begins on 2/15/10.
Champps in West Bloomfield begins hosting a Thursday show starting on 2/18/10. Their weekly shows will begin at 9pm. They are running great specials during trivia, so come check it out.
Starting on 2/21/10, you can now play trivia on a second night at TGI Friday's of Brighton. The Brighton Sunday show will be at 9pm each week.
