Season 3 Tournament Information

Teams are limited to 5 people for the finals.

Finals Prize Breakdown
1st Place - $3,000
2nd Place - $400
3rd Place - $300
4th Place - $200
5th Place - $100
Also, as with our previous tournaments, a number of pre-game door prizes will be given away.  Those include Tigers tickets, gift cards to our venues, t-shirts and lots more.

All teams must RSVP by Wednesday, June 2nd at 4pm to: tournament@motorcitytrivia.com

Failure to RSVP will result in next eligible team receiving an invitation.

Semi-Finals and Finals Rules
1.  Maximum of five players per team.

2.  Any person caught with a cell phone or other device that could be used to cheat will have ten points deducted from their score.  The second time will result in an automatic disqualification.  This rule will be strictly enforced.

3.  The format for the game will be one long combined game.  There will be two Nerd Doublers (one per half), two audio questions, an intermission game and one Call Your Shot question.

4.  Teams may wager up to 50 points on the Call Your Shot question.

5.  Because space is limited, please do not bring any extra players or spectators.

6.  The team in first place before the Call Your Shot Question at each semi-final automatically qualifies for finals.  The next two highest scoring teams after the Call Your Shot question will also qualify.

7.  The final five spots at finals will be given to the five teams across ALL semi-finals with the next highest scores that did not qualify through the previously mentioned ways.  All shows are using the same set of questions.  These five "wildcard" teams will be announced on www.motorcitytrivia.com within 90 minutes of the end of all semi-finals.  In the event of a tie for the final spot, the team who played the most often during the season will advance.

8.  Throughout the week of 5/31/10, one clue to a semi-finals question will be given out at each show.  The clue will be different every night of the week.

9.  Teams are allowed to switch out players between semi-finals and finals.

10.  Players may not leave the game play area during a question.  There will be 3-4 breaks built into the game.

11.  Many of our venues are opening early for us, so please consider supporting them by enjoying some tasty food and beverage.
